The treatment cost of acidic waste depends on the amounts of lead, zinc, and arsenic it contains. Generally, 60 yuan per cubic meter of such acidic waste is required for treatment; the main cost factor is the consumption of sulfidation agents. Where the efficiency of these agents is high – especially in the sulfurization process – the cost associated with their use can be reduced by 20-30%.
