The hydrogen peroxide desulfurization unit used in our plant has recently shown an increasing desulfurization pressure drop, reaching around 10 kPa. Upon inspecting the desulfurization tower, it was found that the grating plates at the bottom were blocked by grayish-white crystalline substances, which were quite hard. I’m hoping experts can help – what kind of substance is this, and how can it be gotten rid of? Urgently waiting for an expert!

What is the principle behind adding a stabilizer? Is it a stabilizer for hydrogen peroxide? The process water used before had a high hardness level; now, pure water is being used, and its hardness is not as high as before. Is there any impact on this? Experts!
Have you taken a sample for testing? It’s probably sulfate.
We are not able to conduct very precise tests here; could it be calcium sulfate, given that the water hardness here is quite high?
Are you reusing the treated wastewater on your end?
What is the concentration of your dilute acid? If the water used for replenishing the desulfurization tower is raw water that has not been softened, it will react with the dilute acid to form sulfate crystals. It is not recommended to increase the concentration of the dilute acid; rather, it is advisable to ensure that the total amount of dilute acid produced in the desulfurization process is balanced with the amount of water added in the dry absorption stage.
