The acid foam captured by the foam catcher is conveyed through the acid pipe at the bottom of the catcher – is it inserted into the acid separation tank or into the packing? Some devices are inserted into acid cups, which are filled with acid to prevent smoke from taking a short circuit.
Well, in our company this is called a liquid seal; it connects the demister to the stainless steel flange at the top of the absorption tower. Holes are made in the steel plate, which are then used to insert pipes that lead down to the acid tanks suspended above the acid distributor. Before driving, fill the acid tank with acid through the acid pipe until it covers the opening at the bottom of the pipe. In this way, the acid foam flows through the acid pipe into the acid tank (overflowing when the tank is full), while also preventing gases from taking a shortcut through the acid pipe.
It cannot be inserted directly into the filler, but it can be inserted directly into the acid separation tank.
