When new materials are used in a certain industry, certification must be thorough and testing must be standardized!
This question is very meaningful. But to this day, high-silicon stainless steel has not been able to gain proper recognition for use in specifications; the type in question, namely S38815, has already been included in the ASME material catalog. . . .
In large-scale sulfuric acid production plants, high-silicon materials are widely used :)
