Hello, the owner: our small polypropylene plant also has a high content of water in the recovered propylene (it contains free water, at levels well above 600 ppm). The recovery propylene pipeline of the gas separation unit in winter was frozen, causing the unit to shut down. I’m curious to know how well your propylene dehydration coalescer is performing How deep can the dehydration go?
The effect of installing a coalescer is quite significant; most of the water can be removed. The manufacturer guarantees that the concentration can be reduced to below 100PPM. We haven’t conducted any tests, but no free water has been discharged at the downstream end
