On April 23, Henkel added a new formula to its award-winning Technomelt product line. Technomelt PUR 9015 BV/WV is a polyurethane hot-melt adhesive that provides high initial bonding strength for applications in glass and large-panel appliances – products that require stability immediately after assembly as well as long-term structural durability. This polyurethane hot melt adhesive not only offers excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates, but also possesses high heat resistance and compatibility with automated manufacturing processes, providing manufacturers with a flexible production solution for reliable and cost-effective assembly. In many home appliance applications (such as refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners), it is often necessary during the production process to move large glass panel assemblies around the factory before the adhesive has cured; such movement can lead to misalignment or defects in the assemblies. Traditionally, manufacturers use temporary positioning methods such as tape to hold components in place while the adhesive cures, but this requires additional time, labor, and material costs. Technomelt PUR 9015 BV/WV eliminates this costly and time-consuming additional step; its extremely high initial adhesion allows the product to be moved within minutes.
