Small molecules, great potential: The protagonist of this issue is Xiaofen. He really never stops being active. Although he is small in size, he possesses countless forms and can be found everywhere around us – in food, clothing, buildings, cars, airplanes... In fact, he is present wherever one can think of. Especially after meeting Solvay, he was able to unleash his infinite potential. Together with Solvay, Xiaofen keeps trying new things and taking on challenges in order to make the world a better place. http://s.lianzhongyun.com/news/2020/0311/160ae0754613db6e41d04d32595da7c7.png “Amazing Molecules”: In order to help more people understand the power of molecules, Solvay China first organized an internal competition titled “Change, Molecules!” , inviting everyone to choose molecules and pair them with various applications of Solvay’s products. Through collective brainstorming, the following molecules stood out: cerium and zirconia – the \"environmentally friendly allies\" that help reduce vehicle emissions; polyvinyl fluoride (PVDF) – the \"high-performance semicrystalline fluoropolymer\" that extends the lifespan of batteries and cables and protects pipeline systems; vanilla aldehyde – the \"aromatic spirit\" that brings sweetness to our lives; silica – the \"magical powder\" essential for baking pastries; sodium bicarbonate – the \"leader\" in the field of disinfection and cleaning; highly purified natural polysaccharides – essential components for daily hygiene and care; guar gum – the \"crop saver\" that helps farmers achieve bountiful harvests; n-butyllithiophosphorylamide
