Recently, Cangzhou Dahuahua successfully achieved the first mass production of its 20% silicon-containing PC powder product CH9030P, with significant improvements in its key performance indicators; this marks a crucial advancement by the company in its efforts to develop domestic production of special polycarbonate materials. The company’s R&D team focused on key processes such as the selection of siloxane comonomers, optimization of composition ratios, and control of molecular weight; after dozens of rounds of experimental iterations, it also optimized auxiliary processes like centrifugal washing, viscosity control, and drying. In an extreme low-temperature environment of -60°C, the notched impact strength of the product increases by over 30%, with all key performance indicators improving by two grades overall. During the mass production phase, the team standardized all laboratory parameters and established operating procedures for key aspects such as washing speed, viscosity monitoring thresholds, and drying temperature control, to ensure consistent quality. This successful mass production fills the performance gap in extreme-low-temperature applications for domestically produced 20% silicon PC, marking a good start for the high-quality development of Cangzhou Dahuahua during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It will also inject new momentum into the technological upgrading of China’s new materials industry.
