According to Sinochem New Network, as of March 23, Nanhua Company has, for three consecutive days, produced granulated products with a purity of over 95% using precious metal catalysts to manufacture the rubber antioxidant 4010NA, thereby laying the foundation for the large-scale production of this product in the future. Currently, the traditional 4010NA synthesis process relies on copper-based catalysts, which have drawbacks such as complicated procedures, numerous side reactions, and residual copper ions that affect product purity. These issues not only hinder improvements in production efficiency but also make it difficult to meet the high standards for additive quality required by high-end rubber products. Compared to traditional copper-based catalysts, the precious metal catalysts developed by this company exhibit significant advantages in the synthesis of rubber antioxidants; they offer improved catalytic activity and selectivity, thereby reducing reaction pressure and enhancing the intrinsic safety of the production process from the outset. At the same time, this catalyst has a long service life; it effectively suppresses the side reaction of ketone to alcohol, significantly reduces the consumption of raw materials, eliminates the problem of residual metal ions, and ensures that the purity of the product meets the required standards.
