Question: Why does PP resin break when drawn into filaments?

For polypropylene products, 100 kilograms of PP plus 1 kilogram of masterbatch is used to produce transparent drawn materials; however, during the drawing process, the material breaks as soon as it becomes a transparent thread once the film is stretched. However, when using 100 kilograms of PP plus 15 kilograms of masterbatch and drawing the filaments, no breaking occurred when the stretched film turned into opaque filaments.

What is the model number of the polypropylene product you are using? Has fat dissolution been done? I suspect the product model is incorrect.
It is suspected to be a melt flow issue, with the masterbatch acting as an internal lubricant.
The melt index is between 2.7 and 4.0, so there should be no problem. It doesn’t seem to be greatly affected by the distribution either. However, the isotacticity value is a bit high, around 99.5; I’m not sure if that has any impact
It worked after modifying the formula; changed DHT to CaSt
