The 25th National \"Safety Production Month\" in 2026: Everyone should talk about safety and know how to handle emergencies; risks and hazards need to be identified and addressed. Data from June 11 shows that, through measures such as recycling, the amount of flare gas emitted by Lanzhou Petrochemical has decreased significantly. This marks a breakthrough in the improvement of the flare gas system at Lanzhou Petrochemical, pushing the company’s green and low-carbon development to a new level. As the production load continues to increase, factors such as the high nitrogen content in the flare gas result in a low recovery rate of this gas within the system, which puts pressure on environmental protection and hinders the sustainable and high-quality development of enterprises. Focusing on the bottlenecks in the recovery and utilization of flare gas, Lanzhou Petrochemical has taken targeted measures: by installing an additional high-efficiency screw compressor and optimizing the related supporting facilities, it has integrated the recovered flare gas into Lanzhou Petrochemical’s fuel gas network, thereby enabling the resourceful reuse of waste gas. Following the successful implementation of the project, significant results were achieved: the amount of flare gas released in the chemical industry zone dropped sharply. Under normal operating conditions, all of the flare gas was recovered, which not only reduced energy losses significantly but also helped to cut costs and improve efficiency. This enabled the enterprise to make progress in three areas – ensuring safer production, improving environmental protection standards, and enhancing operational efficiency.
