On the morning of May 18, the Dalian Xitai Public Utilities Boiler Hazard Remediation Project, which is under the general contracting of Kunlun Engineering’s Dalian branch, reached an important milestone: the first steel structure prefabricated component was successfully placed in place with the precise control of a 300-ton crane, marking the full transition of the project from the civil construction phase to the installation phase. The achievement of this milestone not only lays a solid foundation for the subsequent installation of equipment, but also demonstrates the contracting party’s ability to overcome challenges such as tight deadlines, limited space, and continuous operation, as well as its spirit of determination. A fully welded horizontal corner tube boiler is used in this system; its membrane water wall features a fully welded structure without any steel frame, and it is supported by downward tubes, ensuring good sealing and no air leakage. The advanced grate structure results in a low flue gas excess air coefficient, thereby enhancing the boiler’s efficiency. It is capable of adapting to rapid changes in operating conditions, especially those involving sudden pressure changes. Its internal flue gas passages are simple, making it easy to disperse any hazardous gases. The boiler can reach full capacity within 10 to 15 minutes when in standby mode.
