Recently, all three core degassing silos for the expansion project of Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical’s 100,000 tons per year EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) production facility were successfully installed, marking a significant progress in the project and acting as a catalyst to accelerate its further development. Each of these degassing silos has a diameter of 4.76 meters and a total length of 27.7 meters; their lifting weight is 23 tons, which makes installation quite challenging. To ensure the smooth installation of the silo, Sinochem Energy Engineering Project Center coordinated effectively among units involved in manufacturing, transportation, construction, and supervision. Careful plans were made and responsibilities were clearly defined for aspects such as quality control, investigation of transportation routes, and design of lifting procedures; during the manufacturing phase, strict supervision was exercised over welding quality ； During the transportation phase, select the appropriate logistics vehicles and plan the optimal routes ； Lifting is carried out using the “single-main-machine lifting and delivery method” to ensure safety and efficiency. By avoiding the peak construction period, the project successfully completed the hoisting of the silo, ensuring that both construction and production activities could proceed without disruption.
