Recently, the “A type of foundation cast-in-place pile” submitted by Zhongyuan Construction Company, a company under the Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation, was granted a utility model patent by the **Intellectual Property Office. This technology can effectively prevent the upward movement of the rebar cage during the construction of driven piles, thereby improving the quality of the piles and reducing the costs associated with project construction. In traditional bored pile construction, when concrete is poured to the bottom of the rebar cage, the upward lifting force generated after the conduit is removed is relatively large; this force can pull the rebar cage upward, directly affecting the quality of pile formation and the structural safety. To address this challenge, Zhongyuan Construction Engineering formed a specialized technical team that focused on structural optimization and process innovation, developing a new technology for preventing buoyancy issues in the rebar cages of cast-in-place piles. This technology has been successfully applied in the construction of cast-in-place piles for Bid 1 of the main wet gas compression project at the Puguang Gas Field. It can effectively prevent the rebar cage from moving upward within the pile throughout the concrete pouring process, thereby eliminating the problem of the rebar cage rising to the surface and ensuring the quality of pile formation as well as the structural stability.
It’s not easy to obtain patents for traditional, mature technologies either (you need to come up with new ideas).
