1) Low-power motors: Select characteristic D. (2) Outlets: Select characteristic C. (3) Lamps: Select characteristic C. (5) Speed controllers: Select characteristic B

The internationally recognized trip characteristics (curves) include: A, B, C, and D trip characteristics. Feature A: 2 times the rated current; rarely used, generally for semiconductor protection ; Characteristic B: 2~3 times the rated current, generally used for secondary circuit protection on the transformer side ; C characteristic: 5 to 10 times the rated current; this is the most commonly used characteristic, generally applied in building lighting and similar applications ; D characteristic: 10 to 20 times the rated current; generally used for power distribution. K characteristic (ABB patent) is mainly used in motor systems with a rated current of 40 A or less; the choice of circuit breaker characteristic is made based on these distinctions
