On May 12, Wanhua Energy Saving announced that Sinopec Capital, relying on its hydrogen energy fund, completed a strategic investment of 100 million yuan in Yantai Wanhua Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. ("Wanhua Electronic Materials"). Wanhua Electronic Materials specializes in the research, production and sales of electronic specialty gases and general industrial gases. Its core products include monosilane and disilane. The company was established in January 2018 with a registered capital of 167.200778 million yuan and the legal representative is Wang Yaoxi. It is located in Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shandong Province and is controlled by Wanhua Energy Saving Technology Group Co., Ltd. According to reports, the pilot purity of disilane and monosilane produced by it has reached 5N and 7N levels respectively, and its performance has reached the international advanced level. Sinopec Capital is the industrial capital investment platform of Sinopec. Previously, the company has made strategic investments in industry benchmark companies such as Jingrui Electronic Materials subsidiary Ruihong Suzhou and Wanrun Co., Ltd., covering key areas such as semiconductor photoresist and electronic chemicals. This strategic investment in Wanhua Electronic Materials is another key implementation of its layout in the field of semiconductor electronics specialties and high-end electronic materials, further improving its semiconductor materials industry landscape. Since its establishment, Wanhua Electronic Materials has focused on the localization of silane special gas and continued to promote project construction, technology iteration and production capacity expansion.: In December 2021, the company announced the environmental impact report of its silane product project with an annual output of 140 tons (90 tons of monosilane and 50 tons of disilane), with a total investment of approximately 597 million yuan. ； In 2024, the company completed Series A and Series A+ financing, with investors including Yeda Venture Capital, Yida Capital, Yuanhe Capital, Gree Financial Investment, etc., and simultaneously completed an increase in registered capital to RMB 167.200778 million. At the same time, the construction of its 140-ton annual silane product production line (Phase I) in Yantai Development Zone was completed ； In October 2025, Wanhua Electronic Materials (Hubei) Co., Ltd. was established with external investment (40% shareholding) ； In December of the same year, relevant personnel of the company went to Naxi District, Sichuan to communicate on cooperation in the deuterated electronic special gas industry, and continued to expand the high-end special gas product matrix and industrial layout. In January 2026, its independently developed high-purity disilane achieved large-scale and stable mass production. Its independently developed magnesium silicide process stabilizes the synthesis rate of disilane at over 30%, and the purity of mass-produced products exceeds 99.998% (4.8N). At present, the company has built the world's largest single set of disilane production equipment.
