The company needs a reactor for reactions that take place in pure oxygen. The manufacturer supplied a double-end face seal, which causes the lubricant used to lubricate the seal surfaces to enter the reactor. Just use water for lubricating the mechanical seal, right? The circulating water system is equipped with a pressure gauge; in the event of a leak, the pressure will drop and an alarm device will be triggered, allowing immediate detection of the leak in the mechanical seal so that repairs can be carried out promptly. It’s fine even if water gets into pure oxygen, right? Alternatively, a balanced structure can be designed on the medium side, such that the water pressure inside the mechanical seal chamber is lower than the pressure inside the tank; in the event of a leak, it is the medium gas that enters the sealing chamber, causing the pressure gauge for the mechanical seal water to rise and triggering an alarm, which indicates that there is a leak in the mechanical seal.
