Key phase is not only applicable to positive-displacement compressors but also used in centrifugal compressors. By measuring the key phase, the operating condition of the compressor shaft can be determined indirectly. Measurement principle: One or several grooves are made in a circular workpiece, and the rotational speed and operating condition are determined by the cumulative number of grooves per unit time.

In the online operation monitoring system for centrifuges, we use ALSTOM’s S8000 system to collect parameters from the 3500 system and transmit them to the compressor plant’s monitoring platform. The S8000 system converts the parameters of the 3500 system into various types of graphs, such as regular graphs, start-stop graphs, air-gap graphs, etc. Provided for mechanical failure analysis technicians at compressor manufacturers to conduct fault analysis using these diagrams.
