Is there a difference between a heat pump steam compressor and a regular steam compressor?

Distillation is energy-efficient; should the heat pump steam compressor used be selected in the same way as a regular steam compressor? Or is the heat pump steam compressor a new type of steam compressor?
Is there any relevant information on this? I encounter the same problem during the process of continuous distillation separation. The efficiency is relatively low, and energy consumption is high. I want to use the steam after compressing and heating it to heat the distiller.
