What is the operating pressure for moving equipment?

When purchasing a dynamic device, it is necessary to specify the operating pressure of that device. By operating pressure, I understand it to be the operating pressure of the storage tank upstream of the device, right?
The operating pressure should be the pressure that the equipment can withstand under normal operating conditions. Can moving equipment be understood as the inlet pressure?
Personal understanding: Choose the highest pressure at which the device is used normally!
Operating pressure refers to the intake and exhaust pressures under rated operating conditions; a certain margin can be provided to the equipment manufacturer for the most common operating scenarios. There are two design pressures: one is related to the process, namely the inlet and outlet pressures, which represent the gas pressures during operation. One is the design pressure of the equipment itself, which is generally not lower than the operating pressure at which the safety valve associated with the equipment activates, or some pressure specified by the user.
Normally, both the inlet pressure and the outlet pressure have specified ranges, but the outlet is generally expressed in terms of head. Personally, I think it’s the inlet pressure.
