A magnetic fluid mechanical seal utilizes the magnetic energy in permanent magnets to create a non-uniform magnetic field with varying strengths in the gap between the rotating shaft and the toothed ends of the pole shoes. This magnetic field draws the magnetic fluid tightly together, forming a magnetic fluid \"O\"-shaped sealing ring that seals off the gap and thus achieves the purpose of sealing. Its features include: zero leakage, the ability to adjust the components of the sealing fluid to suit various hazardous media, no wear and tear, maintenance-free operation, and no need for auxiliary systems. Some applications already exist for low-speed operating conditions, and high-speed operating conditions have also been developed; due to the different structures, laboratory tests are currently being conducted. On reciprocating compressors, the existing cylinder chambers can be utilized to achieve complete sealing with zero leakage.
