Is a water ring vacuum pump absolutely necessary for the Carbon 6 system?

The company has a Carbon 6 system. I used water ring vacuum pumps before; considering that their vacuum performance isn’t very good, I wanted to switch to screw pumps. The workshop said it wasn’t possible. I thought I’d ask why – perhaps it’s due to safety concerns
A screw pump is considered a dry pump; if the gas being pumped is a liquid at normal pressure, then liquid will accumulate at the discharge end of the screw pump
Dry vacuum pumps are also used in solvent extraction
