There is a hole on the pump cover that is adjacent to the impeller, not on the impeller itself. What is the purpose of this hole? Should it be located on the top or the bottom?
Up there, is that the mechanical seal water pipe connection?
Well, let’s talk about whether the self-cleaning hole for the mechanical seal is on top or at the bottom. The machine seal itself has a circulating flushing system; I think it should be located at the top, but it was at the bottom when it was disassembled. I’m a bit too hesitant to take it seriously

Where does that hole in the pump cover lead to? If it leads to the sealed chamber, it should be the flushing path for plan01; if so, it should be located above
Look carefully where the hole leads to; it usually leads to a sealed chamber used for flushing the seal.
Pressure guide hole of the balance pipe in multi-stage pumps; it may be an exhaust hole in vertical multi-stage pumps or single-unit pumps
Is it the medium lubrication channel of the mechanical seal?
Is it the flushing hole leading to the sealed chamber?
Vent hole, used for exhausting air when pumping the tank; there should also be a small valve
