Vibration of refrigeration oil separator

What can cause vibration in the refrigerant oil separator? I have two refrigeration units, and every time one of them stops and then starts up again, the vibration level of the unit varies; I’m unable to determine the reason for this. Will the check valves at the inlet and outlet of the unit cause vibration in the entire refrigeration machine? Will it cause vibration of the oil?
Is it unit vibration or oil separator vibration?
Observing the situation for a day today should reveal whether it’s due to oil vibration or some form of resonance; mechanical vibrations of the unit can basically be ruled out. But what could be causing this kind of vibration?
