Due to excessive vibration in the piping of screw compressors, cracks have appeared in the welds of the connection pipes of the compressor unit as well as in the outlet pipes. How can vibration in the piping be reduced?

If the vibration originates from the unit itself, then it is important to check whether there are any issues with the rigidity of the unit’s foundation, whether there are any manufacturing defects in the unit, what vibration damping measures have been implemented, and whether vibration filtering measures have been applied to the connecting pipelines
For this issue, it is necessary to distinguish whether it is present from birth or develops later in life. If it is present from birth, the cause must be sought in the design and installation. If it occurs the day after, it is necessary to check whether the fastening bolts of various support brackets, equipment, and pipe fittings are loose, and whether the gaskets have come loose. As long as the source of vibration is identified, the problem can be resolved by gradually returning things to their original state; this is for reference only.
