The temperature probe of the thrust bearing in the centrifugal compressor keeps breaking; the sharp edges on that component have also been worn smooth, and the instrument wires have been secured, yet the connection still breaks. In most cases, the probe wire breaks at its base, right where it emerges from the bearing. Have anyone else encountered a similar issue? How to handle it? Thank you!
This post was last edited by CHANGBAISHI on 2019-9-24 08:04. Try using appropriate sleeves, glue, foam sealant, and the like as a barrier to see if it works. In essence, it’s an over-hardening of the weak points.
When installing the probes for the thrust bearings, loosen them slightly and use sleeves for protection. When the compressor starts, the thrust bearings move in the direction of rotation of the rotor; moreover, the wiring direction of the probes for these thrust bearings must not be the same as the direction of rotation
It would be best to have images to help analyze the cause of the fracture
During maintenance, it is also worth considering whether there are any issues with the wiring design provided by the manufacturer. I have encountered this problem before
When installing the probe, the current should be around 7A.
