We are using reciprocating three-stage natural gas compressors manufactured by Jianghan Sanji Factory here, and recently the vibration levels have increased significantly. The increase is more noticeable during the day than at night. There is no difference in our operating conditions during the day or at night; both the gas flow rate and pressure remain stable. After our analysis, the only difference is the temperatures at various levels. Due to the higher temperatures during the day, the intake temperatures at levels 2 and 3 are significantly higher than at night. Could this be the main cause of the vibration? What is the theoretical basis?
The first thing to determine is whether the vibration is of a mechanical nature or related to the manufacturing process. As for whether temperature changes are related to vibrations, it can be said that there is an impact. It is mainly related to the load. Not at the scene, so it’s impossible to determine the attributes.
Does the outlet temperature not change much? The measurement by the vibration probe may be affected by temperature; consider using factory air to cool the probe as a solution.
