Regarding the lubrication system of the turbine units, I have two questions: 1. I have observed the lubrication systems of several turbine units, and generally there are two places where the oil pressure is controlled – one is for the pressure of the lubricating oil itself, and the other is for the pressure of the return oil. The oil pressure in the lubricating oil section is controlled by a control valve or a self-acting control valve, whereas the oil pressure used for control is not controlled by such valves. Why is that? 2. For the control of lubricating oil pressure and return oil pressure, is a self-acting control valve better or an instrument-controlled control valve?

For general return oil pressure control, the control oil pressure is adjusted: when the return oil pressure is high, the control oil pressure is low, and vice versa; when the return oil pressure is low, the control oil pressure is high. In other words, the control oil pressure is regulated by adjusting the return oil pressure. 2. For the control of lubricating oil pressure and return oil pressure, is a self-acting control valve better or an instrument-controlled control valve? For pressure control in lubricating oil systems, self-acting control valves are used in most cases today.
