There is such a Roots blower. The driving tooth and the driven tooth are not on the same plane due to the adjustment of the working clearance. It’s a few millimeters high and low; I haven’t measured it. I want to adjust it to a plane. Shims need to be added between the hub of the driven gear and the bearing. Is it really necessary? There is another reason. This driven tooth is an adjusting gear. A copper shimming piece of about 1.5 millimeters needs to be added inside the gear. It feels excessive. That’s why they want to add shims between the hub and the bearing. This reduces the number of adjustment shims inside the gear. Adding about 20 more should be enough. Can this be done?

What brand of Roots blower? It depends on the way the gear is fixed
