Discussion on oil leakage from the breather valve of vertical reciprocating compressors

The reciprocating compressors in our unit are continuously leaking oil through their breathing mechanism. What are the possible causes and what are the solutions? All colleagues are encouraged to share their opinions and discuss this issue.
Problems existing: 1. The breathing tube needs to be lengthened； 2. The filter screen inside the breathing mask is not thick enough ； 3. If the lubricant temperature is high, take corrective action to address the issue.
I can’t see what the entire device looks like; is there any gas pressure in the tank? There is one type caused by air leakage from the piston rod seal into the crankcase, resulting in excessive pressure. I don’t know what the original condition of this device was. If that’s still the case, it’s a design issue and it should be modified. If the problem arises the day after, then we need to find out the cause. For reference.
