Dear experts, we found metal shavings in the lubricating oil tank; the test results indicated that it’s 9Gr2. Does anyone know in which parts of the equipment this material is used? Our power unit is a gas turbine unit, thank you
This phenomenon is common; it is necessary to confirm by cleaning and checking the fuel tank of the system after the equipment is installed. It’s more often metal burrs that have fallen off at certain points during equipment operation, or residual processing impurities that haven’t been removed from certain areas. For now, we can only observe the production operations in the future. If the metal from the bearing shell comes off, that’s a serious issue; the component must be disassembled for inspection. It is recommended to send a video of the “metal shavings” so that their shape can be observed for easier discussion. For reference.
