Our company has a three-plunger reciprocating diaphragm pump (with a flow rate of 25 m3/h and an outlet pressure of 15 MPa). It was put into operation in June and has been working well; however, recently the vibration in the inlet pipeline has increased, so the supports have been reinforced; Check that the inlet filter is not clogged ; The pressure of the inlet buffer bladder was found to be 0.4 MPa. Given that the pressure of the medium at the inlet was 0.32 MPa (with a pressure of 0.22 MPa at the top of the buffer tank and a liquid column height of 10 meters), the pressure of the buffer bladder was adjusted to 60%~70% of the inlet pressure, i.e., 0.22 MPa, in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Operation proceeded smoothly at first, but after 2 hours the pressure of the buffer bladder increased to 0.8 MPa. The pressure at the top of the inlet tank remained unchanged at 0.22 MPa. After 12 hours of operation, the pipeline vibration increased again, causing vibration in other pipelines in the vicinity. 1. The cause of the rising pressure in the inlet buffer air bag has not been identified – is it internal leakage from the safety valve to the inlet? Or other reasons? 2. Is pipeline vibration related to changes in inlet pressure?
What does the buffer structure look like? Is it inflatable? Is it temperature changes that cause pressure changes?
Isn’t the damper installed at the outlet?
Is there internal leakage in the inlet valve? Check it out
Is that three-cylinder pump a diaphragm pump? Vibration? It’s probably a problem with the pump. Install flexible connections at the inlet and outlet, as well as check valves; if the problem persists, replace the pump.

Has the safety valve activated and failed to return to its original position?
It might be a problem with the diaphragm of the diaphragm pump; also check whether the silencer is clogged.
1. Where does the pump’s return line lead to? If it leads back to the pump inlet valve, the amount of flow returning may be excessive; 2. The safety valve does not return to its original position after activating ; 3. The overall inlet valve of the three pumps is opened too slightly, or the inlet pipes are partially blocked ;
Is the damper installed in the correct position? Ours are installed at the outlet, primarily to stabilize the pressure in the outlet pipeline. According to the flow diagram, once the safety valve activates, the pressure at the pump inlet increases, and the liquid is prevented from flowing through
The design of the outlet pipeline is unreasonable; an accumulator should be included in the outlet pipeline, as inconsistent pumping volume from the three-cylinder diaphragm pump causes pulsating vibrations.
