For the recycle hydrogen compressors in hydrogenation units, the thrust bearing temperature sensors have broken shortly after startup on multiple occasions. I would appreciate it if experts could advise me on the causes and possible solutions. Thank you
Has the compressor reversed direction? When replacing a compressor, the inlet valve should be opened first followed by the outlet valve; if the outlet valve is opened first, it will cause reversal and result in the breakage of the remote transmission line!
Make a few small clamps to secure the temperature wire. I’ve encountered this phenomenon.
The temperature line should be fixed; how can it reverse and break? Wouldn’t it break if it moved in the opposite direction as well? I’m not quite sure
The temperature sensing wire of tilting thrust bearings is fixed, but it is necessary to take into account the fact that the thrust bearings may shift during operation; therefore, the wire should have an appropriate amount of extra length. Moreover, the quality of these temperature sensing wires varies – expensive ones cost around a thousand yuan, while those with a blue outer coating have a lower thermal resistance and cost around a hundred yuan. No matter how careful you are, some wires will get damaged during installation or removal, as they simply cannot withstand bending. Try to make the bends as smooth as possible. If the conditions for routing the wire are really poor, it is recommended to use wires with a metal shielding layer, as they are more flexible and easier to bend, though they are more expensive
If the compressor is still operating properly, it is most likely a problem with the signal transmission from the instruments
