As early as July this year, 711 successfully delivered two sets of medium and small-sized LNG ship BOG screw compressors, which were used to supply gas to the dual-fuel engines of the \"Huaihe Energy Launch\" ship – the world’s first and China’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling vessel capable of operating in both river and sea environments, built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd. In this project, the BOG screw compressors manufactured by 711 demonstrated excellent vibration and sealing performance; they feature full automatic control capabilities, allowing them to meet the demand for stable gas supply by the refueling ship at various sailing speeds. They have been successfully used in multiple refueling operations. The BOG screw compressors for the 174,000 cubic meter LNG carriers developed this time not only continue to utilize the sealing and vibration control technologies that have been proven effective on the Huaihe Energy Qihang ship, but also feature a greater gas processing capacity, enabling them to handle a wider range of BOG volumes. Additionally, their overall design is more compact, making them easier to operate. The completion of this product marks that the 711 Institute now possesses the capability to design and supply BOG screw compressors for LNG vessels of all sizes, from small to large. This provides strong support for increasing the use of domestically produced equipment in LNG vessels in China and for the development of China’s LNG industry chain!
