When working on process documents, the weld bead height for Type I grooves has always posed a problem for me; in the past, I used to follow the standards for single-sided grooves. I feel it’s not quite appropriate to ask the seniors here for advice – should the standard for the residual height of welds in type I grooves be calculated based on a single-sided groove or a double-sided groove?

It’s not this. This refers to the gap between the mating surfaces, while the weld height is the amount by which the welded joint protrudes above the base material
The remaining height on both sides is 0–1.5 mm.
My understanding is that the weld bead height is determined according to the welding sequence: the height for the weld on one side is set as e1, while the height for the weld on the other side is set as e2.
Article 150 specifies different standards for single-sided grooves e1e2 and double-sided grooves e1e2; should Type I grooves follow the standards for single-sided grooves or those for double-sided grooves?
In this case, it is generally single-sided welding of thin plates, and the acceptable criteria for the weld bead height for single-sided grooves should be followed as specified in GB150
Could you help me figure this out? Is it based on empirical standards or are there any written regulations?
