Dear colleagues: Here, several units have high residual heat from their reactions, so residual heat boilers are installed to generate steam. In actual operation, the liquid level in these boilers (vessels) fluctuates significantly; therefore, automatic interlock systems control the makeup water valves to supply additional water; Here, we have newly launched projects focused on large-scale chemical manufacturing; previously, we were engaged in fine chemical production ; (1) For PID control parameters, if they are set too conservatively, the response will be slow; this may result in an inability to keep up with changes in load, leading to either insufficient water addition or excessive water addition ; (2) We have very little experience in the large-scale chemical industry, so we are very interested in knowing how level control for such boilers is handled in that industry ? (3) In fact, the liquid level in our deaerator is very stable. Could the boiler liquid levels in various units be caused by improperly adjusted PID parameters or load fluctuations? Under DCS control, adjustments can be made by analyzing previous operating parameters and designing appropriate adjustment functions, provided that such fluctuations are regular and periodic, as that makes things easier.
