Normally, the regular inspections carried out by the special inspection institute are pressure tests; even those conducted at reduced pressure are still pressure tests. The detailed inspection rules are stipulated in this way.
According to page 25 of the code, PT = ηP/t, where P is the design pressure of the vessel (or the maximum allowable operating pressure); for vessels in use, it is the allowable operating pressure determined through inspection or the monitoring operating pressure. The pressure resistance test in periodic inspections is an overpressure test based on the latter.
