When storing sulfur dioxide in 304 stainless steel containers, does intergranular corrosion need to be considered?

As title: We have received orders from a client for one sulfur dioxide buffer tank each, to be used at the inlet and outlet of compressors, with a design temperature of 220°C. Is it necessary to specify in the design specifications a requirement for testing intergranular corrosion susceptibility?

The composition is not very clear; the temperature is 220°C, so it probably doesn’t belong to wet sulfur dioxide, but it’s hard to be sure when the system is shut down...
If required, how should the types and quantities of specimens, the methods of sampling and preparation, the inspection and testing methods, the acceptance criteria, and the requirements for retesting in case of non-conformity be specified? I don’t have any experience in this area, so I’m a bit unsure...
