Can a pressure vessel rated for 2 Mpa have wire hooks welded near the welds of the connections? How much distance do I need to leave? Does anyone know? Thank you all!
I’m not sure what a wire hook is What is it used for? What material is the container made of? Has it been heat-treated?
Sure. The standard does not specify that it is prohibited.
As shown in the picture, it’s a small hook used to hang the steel wire; it needs to be welded below the pipe inside the container. I’m not sure what distance is appropriate from the pipe – I’d like it to be as short as possible! Thank you! The container is made of 316 stainless steel
It is advisable to place it at a distance of 100 MM from the circumferential weld joint between the head and the cylinder.
This weld should be at a distance of more than 50 mm from the edge of the weld between the nozzle and the tank body
