Is the weld between the skirt seat and the head a Class E weld or a Class D weld?
According to the standard, it should be Class E. In the old version 150, this weld was not classified. The new version adds Class E welds.
The fifth floor is right, GB150.1-2011 4.5.1.2 It is clearly stated in: The connection joint between non-pressure components and pressure components is a Class E welding joint.
Where is the standard stipulated? I can't find it. Only the welding joints between the skirt cylinder and the tower were required to be inspected.
The key to this issue is whether the skirt is a pressure component or a non-pressure component. If it is a pressure component, it is classified as Category D. If it is a non-pressure component, it is classified as Category E. NB/T47041 clearly classifies the skirt as a non-pressure component, so there is no doubt that the weld is Class E. However, due to the particularity of tower equipment, the standard puts forward additional inspection requirements for this weld.
