What welding electrode should be used for welding Q345E steel pipes to 16Mn forgings?
Originally, welding was to be carried out between Q345D and 16Mn forgings; however, since Q345E pipes were available, they were used instead. I would like to know what type of welding electrode is suitable for welding Q345E low-temperature pipes with forgings at normal temperature

507RH is of the low-hydrogen type, and it offers slightly better low-temperature impact resistance compared to 507. Our company prefers to use 507RH; actually, it’s also fine to use 507 for low-temperature applications, as the price is roughly the same and the welding processes are identical. . . It’s up to you to decide. By the way, do you still lack that amount of money?
For J507RH or J507Ni, welding should be carried out with a low wire energy; try not to move the welding rod, and keep the interpass temperature low, ideally below 70 degrees.
All flanges use 16MN. . So, welding rod E5015 is sufficient!
Personally, I recommend using the J507RH welding rod. Before welding, the rod should be baked at 350–430°C to remove moisture, and then kept in an oven at 100–150°C until it’s ready for use; Before welding, it is necessary to remove impurities such as rust, oil, and moisture from the welded parts ; Additionally, welding must be performed with low energy and a short arc
