Dear colleagues, our company holds China’s D1D2 special equipment design license. Are we able to design pressure vessels for the EU (with design specifications that comply with EU standards)? If not, what qualifications are required? Thank you all very much!
Find an agency to handle the CE certification; we hired BV to do it
There are no requirements in this regard, but it must be carried out by a certification company under an EU authorized body
We mentioned that welding and non-destructive testing in the manufacturing process will be inspected by relevant agencies, but there has been no mention of whether this is required for the design aspect as well. Do you mean that the CE certification refers only to the design aspect, and it is necessary to obtain CE certification before starting the design?
We have several individual valves that need to undergo CE certification. The process is as follows: first, sign a contract with the BV agency, and then they will provide a list requiring certain design documents, quality assurance documents, and proof of personnel qualifications, among other things. First, we give them the design documents for review, but in reality our valves are already in production; this is not correct. Reproduction should only take place after approval. Once the design documents have been reviewed, they will then come to witness the pressure testing and assembly of the actual product. A certificate will be issued only if all are passed.
