Our company has manufactured a device with a carbon steel lining covered in stainless steel. I am currently preparing the quality certification documents, and for this welding record, is it necessary to specify each weld along the lining?

In such cases, where the internal welds of the stainless steel lining are in a messy state like this, and each piece of equipment differs to some extent, is it still necessary to create a welding procedure for each one?

The lining is not pressure-resistant. How should the weld numbers of the lining be written? The welding record must include the weld number. I don’t think it’s necessary to record welding information for the lining.
I think so too, but the lining is connected to the pressure-bearing components; in that case it should be considered an E-type weld. However, assigning weld numbers to the lining’s welds is rather complicated, and keeping records of the welding process is also tricky. If a rough weld layout is used and each unit has a different layout, then doing this wouldn’t make any sense
