I have a question regarding the codes: In the \"Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises\" (GB50160-2008), Article 9.3.3 states that pipelines carrying combustible gases, liquefied hydrocarbons, combustible liquids, and combustible solids shall be equipped with static grounding facilities at the following locations: 3. Pipeline pumps, as well as the permanent filters and buffers at the pump inlets. I would like to ask everyone: 1. Does the permanent filter at the pump inlet mentioned here refer to the filter of the pipeline pump discussed earlier? Or does it refer to the filters for all pumps, including pipeline pumps? 2. Does the static grounding facility refer to flange bonding or separate grounding?
All pumps should be grounded separately; combustible materials can generate static electricity when passing through filters
But none of the design institutes included a separate grounding system in their designs!
Yes, there is basically none in the design, but it is stipulated in the petrochemical regulations, and experts who come to inspect the facilities also raise this issue.

Personally, I think it applies to all pumps. Grounding refers to being connected separately to the ground bus. . . . Bridging is essentially an anti-static measure. Since it’s being mentioned, grounding should refer to the former.
Filters are usually located in the inlet pipes; how should the grounding for this area be handled?
