What should be considered in the design and manufacturing of S31008 containers?
This material belongs to 2520 stainless steel, which is equivalent to S310S in ASME materials; it is generally used for heat-resistant steels (operating at temperatures above 400°C)
Arc-end cracks are particularly prone to occur during welding. Argon welding, especially when welding heat exchange tubes, requires great care as cracks are common.
