Manual cleaning is difficult, so I plan to buy a machine for the task. Has anyone used one before? How often do you clean the smoke pipes?

If it’s natural gas, the flue is usually quite clean and doesn’t need to be cleaned frequently. It’s usually fine to clean it once every six months or a year. We use small furnaces; manual cleaning isn’t very complicated, and machines have also been used. If the amount is large, buy a clog remover and use a wire brush to clean it yourself.

Do gas boiler chimneys need to be cleaned of ash? I really haven’t heard of that. A high level of ash indicates that the burners in your furnace aren’t properly adjusted, which results in incomplete combustion~
