Why are two glass plate level gauges designed for the high-level storage tank of heat transfer oil?
It’s not good; it’s better to use a level gauge with magnetic flip switches. Glass plate type gauges are unsafe, and perhaps the issue lies in the fact that the heat transfer oil has darkened, which hinders visibility
I only have one; there’s no rule stating that two must be installed. Is there any standard?
①If by level gauge you mean ones that are arranged side by side, then those two level gauges serve as a double safety mechanism. By the way, are you involved in equipment design or process design? If it’s a matter of equipment design, then the two level gauges could be one being a LIT for remote DCS control, and the other being an LG on-site. ② If by dual level gauges you mean ones placed at the top and bottom, then it means the tank is too tall; there isn’t enough space for a single level gauge, so they are installed in separate sections.
