Most liquid chlorine storage tanks are now required to be designed as double-layer tanks; are there any relevant regulations regarding this?
I have never designed liquid chlorine storage tanks. But liquid chlorine storage tanks should be normal-temperature spherical tanks or horizontal tanks, right? Why a double layer? Because of the toxicity?
Is the liquid chlorine storage tank designed as a double-wall tank? I haven’t heard of any relevant requirements or regulations...
I’ve never heard of double-layer ones; we all use single-layer ones
A double-layer insulated container is used for heat retention. For a low-pressure liquefied gas like liquid chlorine, a double-layer structure is clearly not economical; at 50 degrees Celsius, its saturated vapor pressure is only 1.33 MPa, so it is much easier to liquefy it by applying pressure.
Where did it require a double layer? I haven’t heard of that

The space between the two layers of the tank is not evacuated; this is mainly for safety reasons
