Now, the visual differences between fixed-roof storage tanks and internal floating-roof storage tanks are becoming increasingly small. So, is there any way to distinguish between them based on their appearance?
Check for high-level manholes and circumferential ventilation openings
Many internal floating roof tanks do not currently have circumferential vent holes.
It’s indeed hard to tell apart just by looking, or rather, it’s impossible to distinguish them. Our design does not feature high-mounted manholes or circumferential ventilation holes; instead, it uses a nitrogen seal, and its appearance is similar to that of ordinary fixed roofs. For the fixed-roof modification, an internal floating disk is added, giving it exactly the same appearance as before.
