The material choice and thickness of roof slabs cannot be determined using this value for design purposes. The calculation is based on the pressure exerted by a person’s weight; a person weighs around 80 kilograms. If that person stands on one foot, with a foot area of 2 square decimeters, the load exerted by that person’s weight on the slab would be 80/2 kilograms per square decimeter, which equals 40 KN/m². This is far higher than the designed load of 2 KN/m². Even without any running or jumping, the slab wouldn’t be able to withstand such a load. . . . . . This design strength can’t even support one person – what’s wrong with this calculation?
Your algorithm assumes a load of 2 square decimeters per person; the roof is completely covered with people. Is this even a roof or just a square……………… Loads are divided into dead loads and live loads; pedestrian traffic is generally considered a live load, and live loads are also surface loads. This classification is used to calculate the strength of structures. Your calculation method seems to assume point loads instead.
